Virus and anti-virus

As long as there are existing programs, there also exist some idiots who thought that it was uncontrollable funny to sabotage those programs with malicious program codes - small malicious programs, all known under the common name "Computer virus". Virus appears in innumerable forms and variations. To mention them all would be impossible, and also quite superfluous, for which new virus types every day.

Sources of computer virus

The most common sources of input virus on your computer, your mail program, your Internet movements and various forms of downloading, which of course also related to your Internet connection. The so-called P2P programs (peer to peer) is a major source of spread of virus and spyware. Examples of these are programs like Kazaa and LimeWire and others. Avoid also the use of such programs functioning on "folder sharing" with unknown users on the network. Diskettes has previously posed a great risk, but as the use of these disappear, this is obviously equivalent waning. It is still a good idea to scan the disks for viruses or learn lessons from getting hit by a computer virus.

Mail Program
Virus programmers have become considerably more sophisticated. For instance, it is very normal to be sent to the virus from an apparently well-known mail address - even if the mail actually did not come from a familiar address. Viruses can also be compressed completely innocent appearance files as an image file or a PowerPoint presentation. Never put your mail on the web in the chat forums or similar. Disable the automatic reading pane / preview pane in your email program so that a mail only opens when you double-click it - and do not ever open an email you are suspicious of, or mail containing attachments, which spontaneously has been sent to you. Curiosity has given rise to many successful viruses. Be sure to have an updated antivirus support services to secure your computer programs that scans all your incoming and outgoing mail for viruses. Please note that most newer mail programs have a number of settings and options, to some extent actually makes quite a nice protection against unwanted mail. In this context it is very important that at any time with both its browser and its mail program updated with the latest updates.

Internet
Surfing the Internet is a significant risk - especially if you surf on the porn and gaming sites. Not because these pages are worse than others, but they are very popular and have high traffic and is therefore also a popular target for the rapid spread of virus and spyware. Never surf the web without having a good and nyopdateret active antivirus program - a firewall is in this context almost equally important.

Peer to Peer - P2P
The measures of the so-called peer to peer programs as Kazaa LimeWire and others, is quite clear and simple: They are not recommended, - but they are extremely popular because they are a good and tempting opportunity to share movies, pictures, music and programs and more.
